Patty Pan

Our neighbours presented us with a large patty pan.

I cut the top off, scooped out all the seeds...

Added crushed garlic, lemony olive oil, salt, pepper, a bay leaf & a sprig of rosemary.

Popped the top back on & put it in the oven for about 45 mins.

We ate it with sausages, potatoes & lots of chutney.

Delicious!

Sounds delicious! Never heard of a patty pan before but you make me want to eat one anyway.

I would even have known what it was, let alone been able to deal with it. Sounds wonderful!

This sounds delicious - I've seen the baby patty pans but not a large one.

When on email I saw this come in all I could see at first was the title 'Patty Pan'. I was immediately whisked in to a Milly Molly Mandy story where she bakes a teeny tiny cake in her 'patty pa'n and then debates over who she should give it to. I was slightly disappointed to see it was 'just' a vegetable! But it was a beautiful vegetable and a delicious sounding suggestion for the eating of, so I forgive you! ;)
