I'm still keeping up with Backlane Notebook's challenge but it is quite difficult at the moment. I'd been hoping that the hellebores would be ready but they're not quite there yet...
So instead I have dried allium heads from the summer & some pussy willow that I was given last year. The hellebores will just have to wait until next week.

I love it and that vase is the perfect foil for your "flowers"!
It still looks lovely. I picked my first hellebore this week so hopefully yours will soon be up.

This is gorgeous Naomi! I love these skeletal arrangements ... they always put me in mind of something Andrew Wyeth (the painter) said: "I prefer winter ... the bone structure of the landscape ... the loneliness of it, the dead feeling ... something waits beneath it, the whole story doesn’t show."
I have some hellebores but can't quite bear to pick them. I will have a go at this though. Saw it and loved it a while ago and lost it so thank you for the reminder.
That's rather an appropriate vase for skeletal alliums. Lovely.
Fascinating textures, all the same!
But these are lovely! The allium heads are beautiful.
