I have been looking at of my window all morning at a penstemon that has just come into flower and after reading your post I am off out in the garden to pick it and join in with the Backlane notebook flower challenge thanks for the inspiration! Sarah
I've kept up with the challenge, but not with the photographing of it, I really need to post an update but have no pics.
The viburnum is gorgeous! This week I had a vase of winter jasmine and another of the most beautiful red freesias (a Christmas present from a friend, I didn't cheat) in the house.
I love the viburnum especially as a single stem. I think I'll have to squeeze in a viburnum- if I can find room- since scent in the garden at this time of year is so lovely.

Well done for finding something so pretty. I love all the textures in the second picture.
