Three Festive Mice

A few years ago I returned from a holiday to find that I had squatters- mice!

I do not like mice at all. I encouraged them to move out...

The next few evenings were spent in a manic frenzy of cleaning.

Then, this summer, February niece asked if I would help her to make a fabric mouse. I found a pattern online & we set to work on a colourful off cut.

February niece took her mouse home. I made a few more as Christmas gifts. I gave them golden whiskers and glittery black eyes.

They are meant to be pincushions but I don’t like the thought of sticking pins in them...

Thank you so much to everybody who has added a link to the December Making Winter Bloghop. I'm leaving the link open until December 25th for anybody who would still like to add to it.

The Making Winter Flickr pool is also looking very festive!

Very cute mice!

We used to live in a converted church, complete with a small organ. One day we realised that there were mice living in that - and that one of them had transported our entire stock of birdfood into one of my snowboarding boots!

You've been very busy. I've enjoyed looking through your Christmas makes and there are some lovely ideas there, I especially like the sound of teh scented oil.

They are delightful - I don't think I would care to stick pins in them either!

The all about you web site is great for free patterns and ideas. Your mice are so much nicer than having the real kind running around at night :0)

I wouldn't mind mice if only they wouldn't chew on EVERYTHING and leave their little calling cards wherever they go.

These are adorable and I can see why you wouldn't want to stick pins in them.

How cute are they!

We have field mice in the garden, they come right up to the house and take grain that has dropped from the bird feeder. Thankfully never in the house though, yet!

Oh aren't they lovely! I too have made some mice - am just about to blog them, late again today! Need another 24 hours (at least!)
Thank you for your lovely comments and for so assiduously visiting my blog daily. I have hugely appreciated it. :)
